End of week 1 of Advent:
Hope Week
Imagine a day when there was no one without hope.
Imagine a day when no one was afraid of bombs dropping on them,
or of loved ones abusing them,
or of classmates bullying them.
Imagine a day when there were no dull or dead eyes
but that everyone looked alive and vibrant and full of life and hope.
Imagine a day when hope didn’t come from;
screens and texts and pics and status updates
and number of ‘likes’,
or from paying for sex,
or from watching a movie,
or eating a burger,
but came only from the knowledge that we worship a first century Palestinian Jew named Jesus;
the Christ, the Messiah, The King.
Just Imagine!
Come Lord Jesus.
Come quickly
